We were visiting with one another & gawking at the wonderful items Mr. Brunner has in his museum when we were all asked to line up and get our helping of ice cream. We had our choice of Vanilla, Strawberry & Chocolate, there was chocolate & strawberry syrup, we even had root beer floats. It was encouraged to get seconds & even thirds because we had way too much ice cream and it needed to be consumed. If you were not there, you missed a delicious scoop of ice cream and of course the opportunity to visit with old friends and new friends.
We hope that George would be so gracious to provide his museum for our yearly Ice Cream Social for years to come.
UNTIL NEXT YEAR
ICE CREAM SOCIAL 2017
By Juan Barraza
First of all, thank you Mr. George Brunner for stepping up and provide us with an air-conditioned location to have our Ice Cream Social this year.
We arrived at Mr. Brunner’s Museum around 12 noon. Several members were already there; we thought we were going to the be the first, but it wasn’t the case. The museum was already very well air-conditioned, it was nice because we were having an extremely warm day that day. We were offered drinks and beer (the ice cream came a little later). Slowly more people started appearing, some of those that attended, I didn’t even know and it turned out we had over 47 people and probably about half of them brought their classic car. Super great turn out. Some sat inside and some outside, those outside were brave to do so. We also had the option to purchase the recently ordered club ball cap at the gathering. Thank you, Vic & Jan, for having them available for sale, if interested, they are only $15 per cap.
